Tom Brady responded to Shedeur Sanders saying he went into "Brady Mode" while leading the Colorado Buffaloes to a 43-35 double overtime win over the rival Colorado State Rams.
On Sunday, the seven-time Super Bowl champion posted a frozen face emoji and snorting smoke emoji on X quoting the college quarterback, who is the son of NFL Hall of Famer and CU head coach Deion Sanders.
"All I was thinking was Brady Mode, that's it. Simple," Shedeur told ESPN after the game while wearing a hat and sunglasses. He was describing his mindset starting the game-tying drive on the Buffaloes 2-yard line. "... If he can do it, I know I can do it. We just alike."
Brady, who retired from football a second time in February, also posted to his Instagram story further commenting on Sanders' remarks. Brady has mentored Sanders since his high school days.

"I just want to go Shedeur mode at some point in life," he said with a laughing emoji.
Sanders and his father have led the Buffaloes to a 3-0 record in their first season with the program after the team went 1-11 last year.
